At my age of 72,I decided to go for a New car .I have been driving cars for more than 45 years. So far I have driven several brand cars.
I visited several showrooms looked at various cars. I was so confused ,like a young man getting attracted to all the girls and wanting to marry everyone of them. Similarly I felt each car had its own plus points, price, size, ease of driving, looks both inside and outside, specific electronic features.
My last visit in this exploration was Gurudev motors at Royapettah. Two young gentlemen Mahesh and Freddy, very patiently answered all questions from this old man and convinced me to go for TATA Tiago AMT ,
One admirable point is the fact that they were never aggressive , always politely nudging me to go for TIAGO. I become cautious if a salesman is very pushy.
The key winning points ( apart from various features) were price , ease of driving ( AMT ) and comparatively heavier doors.( and of course the TATA Brand value ethics) .
I met my match finally and bought the Tiago car.
The delivery process , extra fittings , Pooja etc were done very nicely.
Within a week of taking delivery, we went on a long drive to Sholingar,
Oh , what an experience it was.
The ride absolutely superb. , while returning we could comfortably sleep in the car for nearly two hours , no noise , no jerk . Of course credit should also go our driver.
I sincerely hope the TATA service for the car later, is also good.
I am happy to join the Tiago Fanclub , if there is one.
